DESCRIPTION:Flush setting jewellery workshop in Northamptonshire (BD16X4YHa) \nOn this one day silver jewellery workshop you will learn the technique of flush setting round faceted stones into sterling silver to create beautiful pendants\, rings or earrings. \nBy the end of the session you will be able to: \n\nAccurately measure metal and stones.\nLay and mark out stone positioning on metal with enough space to set them effectively.\nIdentify burrs and their uses.\nChoose appropriate burrs for your stone sizes.\nUse a pendant motor to drill through metal to create a seat for your stones.\nUse a needle burnisher to set your stones.\nFile\, sand and polish your piece.\n\nNB: Some of the time spent may be practicing the technique in copper. Learners can expect to complete between 1 and 3 finished pieces depending on skill level. \nTutor: Beccy \nLevel: Beginners welcome – Good hand dexterity and eyesight essential. DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Naturer – Nicole Ringgold (CNR1) \nThis workshop is a 3-day intensive for intermediate to advanced silversmiths. The sessions are 8 hours each day which includes a one-hour break for lunch. \nLearners will focus on fusing & soldering using the little smiths torch\, carving\, texturing\, forming\, and so much more. \nDemonstrations will include the creation of flowers\, leaves\, sprouts\, a strawberry\, frog\, and even an antler shed. You will create several pieces throughout the days. \nAll tools and equipment are included. \nPlease note that learners are not given specific projects to complete. There are many different demonstrations throughout the day\, so you’re welcome to copy the demonstrations or take the techniques to incorporate into your own designs. You are encouraged to explore your own artistic expression. \nLevel:\nThis class is for those who have a minimum of silversmithing basics training. \nMaterials:\nMaterials are an additional cost on top of the workshop fee. The following kit can be provided upon request: \n7.5 x 7.5cm 0.6mm sterling silver sheet\n7.5 x 7.5cm 0.5mm sterling silver sheet\n150cm 1.3mm sterling silver wire\n150cm 1mm sterling silver wire\n100cm 0.8mm sterling silver wire \nShould you require additional materials\, please be sure to bring them with you to the workshop.
